Press Copy, paste into any Discord message box, and send. The copied text already includes the code block fence and the ansi tag, so don't add your own backticks or retype any of it.
Discord colors ANSI code blocks using the same escape codes that terminals use. Each colored run starts with an invisible escape character followed by codes such as [0;31m, and [0m ends it. In those codes, 30 to 37 set the text color, 40 to 47 set the background, 1 is bold and 4 is underline.
If you see the raw codes after posting, the escape character got lost, which usually happens when the text passes through an app that strips control characters. Copy straight from this page into Discord.
Put the text in a code block tagged ansi, with escape codes before each colored run. Those codes contain an invisible control character that's hard to type by hand, so this tool writes the whole block for you to paste.
Eight text colors and eight background colors, plus bold and underline. ANSI code blocks can't show custom hex colors.
Not reliably. Desktop and web show the colors, while the mobile apps may show the block as plain text, so anything vital shouldn't depend on color alone.
Each color change adds escape codes, and those count toward Discord's message length limit. The counter above shows the length of the finished block.
