Discord Directory ("we", "us") operates discord.directory, a directory of public Discord servers, emojis, and stickers, and an accompanying Discord application. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. We are not affiliated with Discord Inc.
If you create an account with an email address, we store that address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Discord, Discord sends us your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and email address. If you use features that verify server ownership, we also read the list of servers you belong to via Discord's API — we use it only to check which servers you can manage, and we don't store the list itself.
The directory is built from information that Discord servers already make public: server names, descriptions, icons, invite links, approximate member counts, and custom emoji and sticker names. We collect it from public server listings and from Discord's public API. We don't host any images — server icons, emojis, and stickers load directly from Discord's CDN. We don't collect Discord message content or non-public member data.
Like most websites, our servers log IP addresses, browser user agents, and requested pages. We use these logs for security, debugging, and rate limiting, and we delete them on a rolling basis.
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that host and run the site, and when the law requires it. Some content on our pages is loaded directly from third parties — Discord's CDN (images), Google Fonts, and the cdnjs content delivery network — so those services receive your IP address and user agent when your browser fetches that content, as with any website that embeds them.
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Directory listings are kept while the underlying Discord server remains public — when a server, emoji, or sticker disappears from Discord, the listing is removed on the next refresh. Server logs and rate-limiting counters are short-lived.
The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age Discord requires in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
